After a quick cab ride we make it back to our hotel room around 5:30pm. We were so exhausted from all the cooking. When we got to the hotel, we went into our separate rooms, each took a shower to get the flour off of our clothes, and just hung out a while. There was a television in the room so the four of us watched a movie. But ...

We continued across the street to the enormous Istiqlal Mosque, also known as Independence Mosque, capped with a spherical ...

... recovering from food poisoning on Saturday night & not feeling fantastic, I can’t say I enjoyed the crazy food, cigarette & whatever other smells there were all that much but otherwise it was a fun day with the team. And I found myself a pink mouse for my laptop so that was pretty exciting!

Thankfully by the time Tuesday came around I was feeling much better & the shows this week have been much ...

... off our bags and wandered down to the palace where there was apparently some sort of festival going on. It ended up being the strangest and most boring parade we have ever watched because it was apparently the offerings of the sultan and was related to the Muslim sacrifice festival/holiday. It was a bunch of soldiers dressed in different types of garments and carrying different weapons walking as slow as molasses. A Dutch man walked up to us an made a comment about it while we ...
