We are sitting in the Aegean Sea Western Restaurant at the Oriental Hotel, Wuhan's only 5-star hotel. No, we are not staying here, but at a hotel connected to Hankou railway station just down the road. ... think that Christmas will be celebrated by the majority of Chinese people in about 10 years based on it's growth of popularity in recent years. For Christmas day we'll be going to an Irish pub that we found a few months ago, they're serving Christmas dinner which I am soooo excited for.

... they have very literally built an entire new city across the river from the original Shanghai. What was then served only by a ferry, is now accessible via 6 different suspension bridges over the Huangpu and and 8 tunnels under it. While we were able to capture some pretty cool photos from the boat, it’s the Grand Canyon all over again. You really have to see it to comprehend it.

The ladies (SWI staff and our guide) were all talking away in Chinese, then our guide, Christine, turns to us and says the foster parents are on their way. We were bursting with joy.
