Most organised tours allotted a 3 hour window which would have ruined our day as we spent over 7 hours viewing pandas and visiting all the research facilities, museums and cinematic documentaries.

We make no apologies for posting so many photos and videos, skip onto Xi-an if you don't like pandas.

Its ears are nearly 7 metres long. We took some photos from each side of the head, then we wanted to descend ...

... to boot. The plan was to walk through the Park in-between the lakes on the walkways that traversed the terrain and cut through the forest. However it looked like these were shut too for the same reason meaning we had to use the park buses like the rest of the tourists. Bugger! All in all we had a fantastic day and it was good to breathe in some fresh mountain air after been around cities most of out time.

We got back to the hostel that night ready for a ...
