    two days ago, sam, olivia, and i were taken to see the great buddha. a lot of people (including myself, i'm ashamed to say) have a misconception that the biggest buddha in the world is the fat smiling one. this is untrue. actually the largest buddha is one carved out of the side of a mountain about one hour outside of chengdu. this thing is HUGE. and it has lasted through rain, winds,and humidity for 1,500 years. ...

    ... girl holding a camera so she could get a picture with me! Haha, of course it's not the first and won't be the last. I enjoyed taking the day off from planning and sight-seeing though and getting to wander around clothing stores; James decided when we get back he was gonna open a "Man's Store" in West Ed full of couches, beers, and tv screens for "guys only" that have been drug along for shopping trips.
