On Friday we woke up and checked out of the hotel in order to meet the driver taking us to Lorenzo's boat to Bunaken at 1000. I zipped out of the hotel at 0930 so that I could draw enough cash to pay for our transport and hotel, and I also managed to find a shop that could make business cards for me to hand out as I conduct my observations out on Halmahera. There had been a landslide next to the bridge and there was no way a bus was getting over it. It was like a battle ground out there the mud was so churned up (think Glastonbury on a rainy year, with cars driving through the mud making it worse and worse every minute).
