... resulted in not much deliverable results in improving relations amongst Southeast Asian nations. I tried to steer the conversation back to the task at hand, but she was determined to run the course of a full discussion on ASEAN - which I am NOT qualified to talk on. On the outside I kept smiling, but inside I was getting upset with Pak Denny and Dave for having me give a presentation that I was not qualified to give, and that they were making no attempt to help with.

On Friday we woke up and checked out of the hotel in order to meet the driver taking us to Lorenzo's boat to Bunaken at 1000. I zipped out of the hotel at 0930 so that I could draw enough cash to pay for our transport and hotel, and I also managed to find a shop that could make business cards for me to hand out as I conduct my observations out on Halmahera.
