Yesterday we took a field trip to the French Alps. It was by far the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and I had one of the best days of my life there! ... found a bakery where I rewarded my success with a "pain au chocolat" and waited until I saw the others return so we could get back on the bus for the two hour ride back.

Let me just take this moment to say thanks to all the good bus drivers out there, especially in France. It just amazes me sometimes how we made it up and down those hairpin turns and parked 1 foot from another bus.

... br> At the end of the afternoon, when we arrived back at the hotel I was totally exhausted, every movement costed me more energy than usual. apparently I have some problems with the thin air here at 2300 meter above Sea level.

Now we're going out for a beer (or two). if i don't break both of my arms, neck or other important bones in my body one of these days, I'll update soon

... at the bottom of the slopes I joined the large crowd shuffling its way thru to the main chairlift, once thru and up the mountain there is no requirement for scanning on the minor chairlifts of the top runs. Sitting on the chairlift I pulled the map from my sleeve pocket checked the location of the run they were on and re zipped the map back into the pocket. ... spent a small fortune over the years visiting with my boys ski resorts around the world, and paying thru the nose for private lessons, I thought that I could give a reasonable account of myself.
