... it was pretty tame until one of the toreadors almost got trampled by one of the bulls, the dude was lucky they dulled the tip of the bulls horns.

... about the Qantas, Jetstar or Virgin Blue self check in system. Unlike BA, if you were booked to fly together then generally when you go to check yourself in all call up your booking, the person that your are travelling with also appears. But at BA, the idea seems to be if you don't go and start checking in 24 hours before your departure, then they will allocate you seats at random, so not taking into account that you are travelling with your significant other and may ...

... speak with me than Virg, this being the opposite experience to the one we had in the north of the country, and come to that, everywhere else.

Nevertheless, it was lovely to chill for a few days and the hotel, with its rooftop terrace bar and pool provided a good base. The only complaint...they do need to do something about allowing kids to run riot in the bar after midnight... but the kid thing has all been said before.

The next day to fill in time before departing we looked at the Chapel of Bones, which was built from the bones of the monks from the local cemetary. Over 1200 skulls. Definite goosebumps eh!

an einem tag machten wir mit fähre einen ausflug auf eine insel vor faro. wunderschön alles dort. herzige ferien-häuschen (oder wohnen die dort? keine ahnung), azur-blaues wasser etc.







am 4.juli flog dann die ganze familie zurück in die schweiz, nur cousin thomas bleibt noch für eine woche hier in portugal, sodas'es wir zusammen weiterreisen.

You must be wondering why someone who has been "on holiday" in the Algarve since mid june would need another month off.... the answer is my dear friends, that holidays are expensive and so, i managed to find work for the month of August. I was working in a restaurant in the fishing village of Cabanas. In fact, i was working 66 hours a week with one day off... a started sleeping in my afternoon breaks between 4 and 6 pm and it got to the point that i´m so tired ...
