Heather and I planned to take highway 97 North to Osoyoos, BC but after one day of travel, realized we would be pressed for time to get to our destinations in two more days. We had a great day of riding but were so exhausted that once we parked the bikes, unloaded, went for supper and got back to our motel, we were ready for bed by 8 pm.

... stops, the God Sons and the Grand Niece's places. Never having been in such a place, we did have some fun. Lots of HOT stuff!
Back at the coach, we hung out and had a repeat of last eve's dinner, Taco Salad. It's one of our favorites, especially with Lynn's reliable recipe.

Why would anyone want to ride a bicycle across the USA? Ask this question and you will likely get as many answers as the number of people you ask! We are doing it because we love riding bikes together, and we like traveling and seeing the country (especially at a slower speed than the Interstates), and it is a great adventure we can do together.

Made it to Yakima around 2, found a tacky little RV park, pulled in and got all hooked up. Roy hooked up while I made lunch. Not quite as cheap as our free stay last night but not bad. We are right by the freeway so lots of traffic noise but at least it is buffered somewhat inside the motor home. There IS WiFi here so that's a bonus.

Our room was satisfactory for $70, but much to our surprise and delight, there was a lovely breakfast provided by the hotel as well as milk and cookies in the evening.
