... dry and warm enough to dry my tent out completely. Thankfully no rain. SpeakerBox, Mosey, Swampwater, Catwater, TrailBride and Copenhagen showed up eventually too for the bus ride, along with other non PCT hikers. Stehekin is the last stop, the last resupply. I am 80 miles from Canada and 88 miles from finishing. Four more days on the trail. I plan to leave back for the trail Saturday ...

... relationship with Washington. I love it when its sunny and hate it when it rains and or cloudy. Since its been sunny only about 5 days since I've been here and the rest of the days cloudy, rainy, and or snowy, I've been hating this state most of the time since hiking thru it. Interesting thing is that the majority of thru-hikers, I've talked to about this, feel the same. Call us negative, but this cold rain wears on ...

Wednesday, September 16, 2015. PCT day 149. Miles 2506.20-2532.67. (26.4 miles) Today was tough. With two big climbs for a total of 8600 feet of climbing and 9000 feet of descent in 26 miles, I definitely had my work cut out for me. The best part of today was that it was sunny most of the day. Thank you God. The sunshine on my face felt so good. The clouds did return by 3ish however. But at least it didn't rain. ...

... stopping by 6:20 and having done 28.5 miles by then. Come to think of it, that is good because by tomorrow I should be on the north east side Glacier Peak and not the west side. The peak is a weather magnet, and I heard it is supposed to rain/snow quite a bit by Thursday. I should be further away from that peak by then hopefully. I am not looking forward to tomorrow's 25 mile day. 8,700 feet of climbing and 9000 feet of descent is on the agenda. On that note, ...

PCT day 147

Monday, September 14, 2015. PCT day 147. Miles 2461.3-2477.70 (16 miles) I wish i could have gotten back on the trail earlier, but unfortunately, I had to wait until 11:30 when the post office opened so I could mail some stuff home. I had asked Vanessa to send me my Big Agnes tent because of the deteriorating weather which includes snow. My tarp just won't suffice anymore in this extreme Washington weather. So i had to send the tarp and some other stuff home that was ...
