... RV Park in Whitehorse. We continued on the Alaskan highway and turned south just east of Watson Creek. We are now on the Cassiar Highway and cutting through a very remote area of British Columbia.

Boya Lake Provincial Park was our stop and receives three frozen Polar Bears with a cherry. We rented a canoe and explored the crystal blue waters. There were numerous Beaver Dams, but the Beaver were hiding out. Driving another 300 miles, the stop ...

We were very happy to be back in the USA! We took the border crossing north of Omak, Washington which was perfect as this town had everything we needed to stock up again (plus Taco Bell!). We decided we should stop and watch the Soccer World Cup Final in Winthrop, this place turned out to be an adorable Western style tourist ...

... home with open arms, warm smiles and delicious food. After we realised all of the kids were tobogganing down a concrete staircase out front of the cabin, we quickly moved onto our home for the holidays where we had a toboggan track right in the front yard (much safer than down the stairs). We enjoyed laughs around the fire watching the kids go crazy on the toboggan run until one in the morning. The girls had a blast and made some wonderful new friends.

A rainy 5 hour drive from Seattle and we were greeted with soft falling snow!!

Arriving at the cabin which is beautiful and toasty warm inside surrounded by a gorgeous white covered landscape outside. A perfect setting for a very merry white Christmas! Finally I can merrily sing along to all the traditional Christmas Carols from child hood and become swept up in the Winter Wonderland.

... amazement and shock that we actually rode these mountain passes (if possible, the roads actually seemed much more scary in a car). I know I have said it a thousand times, Dad, but you rock!

Anyway, we drove through the Cascades, taking in the occasional stream/lake, the towering pine trees, and the brown grass/shrubbery (all a much different color of vs the emerald greed of when I passed through in June last ...
