    ... I miss I-5 today!! The English motorway system is kind of . . . . . I guess "User Unfriendly" is the nicest way to put it. We spent much of our time on the M5, M6, M62, M60, M606 going well under the speed limit of 70 because it was so crowded - EVERYwhere! There was also roadworks along about 80% of the way and we saw approximately 4 road workers actually out working. It took us 7 hours to make a 4 hour drive.

    ... even if the food was not the best that we have had this week. It was a fun evening with family.

    This afternoon we took Barbara for a short visit with Paul's cousin Margaret, and on the way back we passed a little park along the Wharfe River called Tittiebottle Park. Barbara said the name came about because the butcher's wife used to sit alongside the river to nurse her baby.

    The rest of our trip will almost seem like an anti-climax, as we ended up achieving some of our aims. Anyway, we are off to Shrewsbury, of which we don’t know much, then Gloucester, to finish in London. Our trip is heading to a climax and we have experienced the emotional highs of visiting our ancestral homes.
