Last day - a bit of a wreck, but I loved it
... but like most things in life, you get what you pay for. This was amazing value for money - food, accommodation, coaching, staff all rate as excellent and a group of 11 with two coaches is a good size. The accommodation is a cross between a shared student house and a hotel. We chill out together in the Lounge or in the hot tub; our rooms are made up and we are fed and watered very well. Day 5 - Just like Scotland: mountains & rain

Day 4 - Tough mountain run and refreshing splash
... in subsequent days. This is a holiday for all abilities and some of the others returned after 3 hours, either taking a longer route or going slower and enjoying more of the scenery. This run follows part of Le Belier mountain race route, which takes place in La Clusaz in August. Some technical stuff about eccentric muscle contractions, but mostly practicing good technique such as running off the balls of your feet, using your arms and upper body to help power yourself up the hill, smaller steps, lift the knees higher, keep the body straight, tilting forward slightly, etc. so, this was a practice session rather than a hard workout, phew.
