Day 3 - Spa day As you can imagine, I really didn't get up to much today. I woke up, had breakfast, chilled by the pool, went for a swim in the pool, had a light lunch and then spent 4 hours in the spa being pampered :-) I don't really understand why there is a stigma about guys and spas. On arrival at the hotel someone picks up your bags, you are shown to reception where I was greeted with a wet face towel and a nice cool drink. ... to take us to the bangka, the boat owner (who henceforth took over captaincy - Ronald seemed suddenly short of good reason for being there), the owner's nephew (who handled the poling in shallow waters) and, not least, 5 ladies who clambered on board amidst a lot of chatter. ... I could get halo-halo before leaving, but they have an after-hours (10 p.m. to 6 a.m.) menu. Sadly, it does not feature halo-halo.

Who am I to complain, though, since that was just about the only disappointment of my trip? I had a green mango shake instead, and we were soon on our way to the airport. We had a direct flight this time, which was nice, and I spent the return trip writing in my journal and napping.

... s fault), so our supper was also late, and then we went for a swim in one of the pools. As we were wandering back to our room, via the beach, we noticed some spectacular storm clouds sitting on the horizon. The sky above us was clear, the moon just past full, but over the water was a towering cloud formation with its own storm. As we watched, bolts of lightning danced around inside the cloud, lighting it up from within.
