The Best 3 Star Hotel I've Been to
The Cebu Marriott has the nicest, most cordial staff I have ever encountered. Spending 200+ days in hotels in 2005, this is a great compliment from me. The pool is kind of small, but adequate. The restaurants offer mostly buffets, but have a la carte dishes too.
Good place for kids or someone doing business. Right next to an incredible shopping center with about 35 restaurants.
Downside- the General Manager is not very professional. This is my opinion and that of many of the long term guests. The check-in process can be a little slow if there are a lot of guests.

I have to say i have stayed there twice , this last time I stayed for about 11 days total..and the staff is awesome and humble.they are there 24 hours.Room service is great!Internet and full size gym for people who like to work out..Breakfast is wide variety, for American and Asians.
Good value for money less than S100.00..I would highly recommend. One again compared to thers in Cebu, its the better hotel!! Believe me
One of the Best Hotels in Cebu!
We stayed at the Marriott for 2 nights on our way back to Melbourne and have really enjoyed our stay. We found the staff very friendly and welcoming especially housekeeping - very polite and always greets you with a big smile! Location is great with Ayala Centre just 2 minutes walk(literally)with awesome shopping, restaurants and the Fitness First Gym, I was very impressed! My husband and I are 'fitness freaks' and although the gym at the Marriott is not bad at all - we really had a great time using the facilities at Fitness First! I found that booking straight at the Marriott website was the best and cheapest option. We are definitely staying at this hotel from now on every time we are back in Cebu.
I made reservations for a party of 4 adults in one room. I tried calling the hotel directly from the US to find out if they would give me a better rate in pesos. On the contrary, they wanted to charge me for 2 xp. I ended up booking the rooms through Marriot online. Not only did I get a better $ rate, they also did not charge me for 2 xp.
We stayed at the Marriott Cebu for thirteen days. We picked it for its location and do not regret our stay there at all. The rooms looked the same as any Marriott hotel in the U.S. Our room was clean, the airconditioner worked great, the safe had easy enough instructions, it had cable TV, there's a minibar, they provided a hairdryer, and the bathroom had a plug for both 220V and 110V. We had a high enough floor to get a nice view of the city. My brothers, who were on the third floor, had a terrible view of a rooftop.
We stayed at the Marriot for 4 days. Room was decent and clean. The location of the hotel was perfect, close to the mall and shops. We ate out most of the time since there was more variety. We ate breakfast at the hotel, their buffet selection was so-so, I guess I expected more. Still, I consider Marriot an upper-scale business hotel. Next time we visit Cebu, we'll most likely stay there again.
Very nice room
My wife and I stayed here one night on April 26 while transiting from Bohol to Manila. Our room was on the 9th floor. The room was clean and comfortable, with a stocked mini-bar and comfort items in the restroom.
The staff was friendly and courteous. The hotel is within walking distance of the Ayala Center, which has many restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.
We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. We had a steak dinner, but due to a misunderstanding, my wife never received her dinner; the waiter seemed to be inexperienced. He didn't know what Italian salad dressing was. The breakfast buffet was not that great either, very mediocre food.
Cebu was a nice stopping point on my way to and from Dumaguete, and the Marriott provided very classy accommodation for my friend and I. From a luxury standpoint, this is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in and would easily cost over $100 per night in the U.S. We paid just $68 per room.
We shall return
We are recomending this hotel to our friends and relatives. It's just like staying in a 5 star hotel. Everybody is friendly and smiling sweetly. We'll surely stay in this hotel on our next trip to Cebu.
I came here on business for 12 days. The longest days of my life. Granted I was in a 5 star before this I was expecting a lot more from this hotel. My new employees pushed it's reputation saying it was the best hotel other than the Shangra-La. Well if this is the best I could get I would rather sleep in an airport. My room wasn't ready at first. Understandable due to when I checked in. My reservation was for a King only bed & I got a 'double'. The 'double' isn't a double bed, it's double BED-S!! Two twin size beds w/a table in between. I was ok with this b/c it was just a temp room til I got my 12th floor room. So I go into the bathroom & there are hairs ALL over in the bathtub. I was shocked to say the least. Called housekeeping & told them to re-clean the entire room or I wouldn't stay in there. I had been awake for quite sometime due to work & flying. They took entirely too long imo. So I waited for the night in my small room b/c the person who's room they were 'cleaning' earlier decided to stay the night. I stayed, went to work the following night & was promised that when I got in at 10am I would have all my things in my reserved room. I get upstairs only to find it's another 'double bed' room. I walked right out. I cannot tell you how frusterated I am with the hotel by this time. Four hours & 2 malls later I get back & am asked to continue waiting on a 'rush-cleaning' I get up to the room happy to find a KING size bed. I get my bags brought in & start to unpack. Realized after 10 minutes that the air con isn't working. I have the belboy call maintence who came up & 'fixed' it about 30 minutes later. I still have no AC 2 days later. I had also called for extra hangers prior to my bags coming up. Once again .... 2 days and several calls later & I still have no hangers. I am so unimpressed with this hotel. I would NEVER recommend it to anyone.
