Salzburg has been the most naturally beautiful place we have
been to so far. The Alps are beautiful and we got our first sighting of them on
the way from Munich to Salzburg (which was our first experience with a train
where only half the carriages go to the final stop, meaning a quick run to
another, very packed carriage to Salzburg).

We saw where the Sound of Music was made, we all had to sing in front of the white dome (picture attached) "I am 16 going on 17" it was quite funny as John and I were both saying we are now officially old as we are singing along with all the ...

With an early start from Munich, we boarded a train to Salzburg, Austria. Although it was drizzling, we were able to make the most of the day and explore this beautiful city. With the train station being a few miles from the heart of the city, we were able to stroll along the Salzach River and explore many of the local vendors along the river.

The walkway along the river brought us directly to the Old Town (Alstadt). The main street (Getreidgasse) held many different shops ...
