... our usual foot tour of downtown Mobile, scouting out restaurants and a place to buy limes. Two hours and many foot blisters later we came up lime-free. Not a single food store within a 2.5 mile radius of downtown. Though Mobile was very pretty and the people incredibly friendly, it appeared to be still somewhat economically struggling after the 2005 hurricane Katrina damage and exodus. We absolutely love this State Park, and will be sad to leave tomorrow morning. We have hiked two of their nature trails (Rocky Bayou and Sand Pine) every day and have managed to do over 11,000 steps every day that we walked. There are over 150 beautifully restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard aviation. These aircraft are displayed both in the museum's 350,000 square feet inside exhibit space ...

Pulled into Eagle's Landing RV Park right off the interstate about a mile. Clean, ...

... now staying. It's a small world! Today we drove into Destin to Home Depot for a water regulator gauge and a grill propane hose -- not especially fun, but necessary. Then on to Henderson Beach State Park to walk on the beautiful white sand beach -- got our 10,000 steps in and enjoyed every minute of it. Gulf beaches are probably the most beautiful in the world -- or at least we think ...
