Went to Corfu today which is the start of the Greek Islands.
It was beautiful. Corfu is the number 1 destination for the rich and famous.
Had a tour of Corfu town and of course did some shopping. Than it was time for
Masterchef as it was off to a restaurant for our ...
We had our final few hours around the pool before heading back to our bungalow for the dreaded packing, mind you after all the travelling we do it really isn't that bad a task and as I pack away I'm already thinking of the next time the suitcases will come out !
We sat on the verandah with a drink watching the various activities on the water as usual, over the week we have noted the various cruise ships through the binoculars as they pull into or out of Corfu Cruise Terminal. We ...
... SUPER-behaved since then! We had our first back anchor mooring, and I was on the wheel. I think I did well, but some people say I hit the beach a little too hard! *shrug* We stopped at a secluded beach and all got in the water with our floating toys. They offered jetskis, wake boarding, tubes and parasailing. It was FANTASTIC!! We then got back onto the boats and headed out for Corfu. Maria took the wheel for some photo ...
Today's port is Kerkira in Corfu which is the second largest of the Greek islands in the Ionian Sea. The ship docked about 2.5 kilometres from the old town so we hopped into a taxi as it was a bit hot to walk the distance. It is a beautiful town with narrow streets and alleyways and lots of shops - especially clothes shops - which gave The Management plenty of places to visit. Of course, she found some clothes to buy while AJG sat outside and people-watched ...
... one direction you could see Greece mainland, another Albania and in the distance Italy. All around the island was the beautiful blue water, such a lovely view. We then hung around in Corfu walking the shopping streets. For dinner a Greek feast, all our favourites souvlaki, dolmade, moussaka, olives, sun dried tomatoes and of course the most amazing baklava either of us has ever tasted. Little sick from over eating, but it was soooo good, just one more piece of baklava, it's only wafer ...

I spent a fabulous week at the Cavo Bianco Village Apartments with my boyfriend and 2 friends. We had the most amazing time!
Just back from 2 weeks at Cavo Bianco Village with my 2 kids, 3 and 13. Had to tell everybody what a great place it was.
This was the second year running that I have been to Cavo Bianco Village with my son. The apartment we had was nice (as asked for same one as last year). It could accomodate 3 people easily (with space) as it had an upstairs area with bed etc & it was cleaned daily (except sunday as is the norm).
I love it
Cavo Bianco village is great. The staff are polite and friendly (especially George and marie behind the bar they are both lovely people.) The entertainment was fab particularly the cabarets but even though they were excellent they could never beat the greek nights that were arranged. The food that is served in the resteraunt is absolutly gorgeous and is definatly worth a try. The rooms are well decorated and kept clean and tidy. Cavo bianco village is the best place i have ever been when abroad and i will definatly go there again i also suggest that you should hire a car because there are some lovely villages and some beautiful sites to be seen. Finally i would like to say thank you to George and Marie for making our holiday so fun and i hope to see you in the near future. x x
