You have to put your key in little holder if you want the lights or any electricity to be on in the room so they know your in there. Wifi isn't free. The best part was that it was right in the city.

If your looking for a location that is smack bang in the city centre then this is it!
Rooms are clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful!

Under the hotel is a small bar which makes some amazing cocktails and is a great meeting point!

This hidden gem was a fantastic place to crash - it was central to everything and clean and well put together - I will definitely stay here again.

The Causeway 353 Hotel in central Melbourne is the excellent hotel for location to Flinders Street station, Elizabeth Street and Swanston Streets and Queen Streets. Between Little Collins and Collins Street in Vulcane Lane, the hotel is surrounded by cafes and restaurants and within walking distance of shops and Coles express supermarket in Elizabeth Street.
For it's location, the hotel is very quiet, however, the views are virtually nil, looking out onto office buildings, however, other rooms might have a better view than our eighth floor room. Very modern interior, rooms consist of spacious bathroom, with complimentary toiletries, bar fridge stocked, comfortable bed and pillows, air conditioning, LCD television, bedside radio/clock and lights. The hotel has a gym, sauna and internet access room. Wi-fi is available in room at a cost. The reception area is small, and was a bit crowded at check-out times, but other than that, you only use the lobby to access the lift to and from your room anyway. Staff were friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast served downstairs in basement restaurant consisting of cooked breakfast (optional) or complimentary included toast, sweets, juices, condiments, tea, coffee, cereals, pastries and ham. In my opinion adequate and fresh and a good choice. Vulcane Lane becomes deserted at night and on sundays and is a bit spooky after seeing the Lane with all cafes open and busy during business hours. All in all, this is one Causeway Hotel in central Melbourne two others are located in Bourke Street and Collins Street. Totally recommended and will certainly stay again when in Melbourne city.

A late start. Made our way by foot to the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) along the river. It takes about 20 minutes. Our intension was to visit the National Sports Museum there but an AFL match was scheduled for the afternoon so we had to buy tickets for it too. The museum was really interesting particularly a large section on the Olympics …

A very early arrival - 5:45 am. A smooth journey into the city from the airport using the Skybus with a free transfer to the hotel - very central Causeway 352 on Little Collins Street. We were lucky to get checked in and freshened up. Brian and Lesley weren't so lucky so some time killing was required!.It's much chillier here than we expected. A …

Finally made it to Melbourne, and through the longest day EVER. After arriving, I went walking to the Victoria market with Josh and Carter, it was amazing. The second adventure we went on, which also included Dr Roux, was to the 88th floor of a skyscraper, where we got a 360 look at Melbourne. We could even see Philip island, where we will go later …

... called the edge experience. You basically get into a box which then moves 3m outside of the building and all the glass goes see through! Was amazing! Then spent the afternoon sitting in the sun listening to live music and drinking beer in the square outside of St Paul's cathedral. After a short train ride and walk we arrived at simon and sues - are home for the next 4 days and they ...
