This hotel is by far the best one we have stayed at during our trip so far; the service is oustansing, the staff go beyond to try and help you, the rooms are good size and clean, the bed is soooo comfortable, the food at their restaurant is yummy and they can change as you want it. They are situated near the Nimez Lagoon where you can walk and see pink flamingos; they are only 15 minutes walk from the centre of El Calafate.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody wanting to stay in El Calafate.

      Relaxing (Day 16)

Today we decided to skip the optional activity of boating to a glacier and walking on it using crampons. We figured this something we could probably do in Canada although I'm sure it would be a cool experience. We slept in until 9, and then spent about an hour trying to use the extremely slow internet to download some new books. Our thought had …

      San Julian Surprises

... Chile about Magellan with a Victoria replica. Being so close to southern Chile but not going those extra few hundred miles to visit it, I felt a bit lame. Nothing and nowhere is it mentioned, however, that San Julián also has the exact same thing. Yes, it may sound geeky and boring to be happy to see a boat replica, but I was really pleased at the surprise to find it and that we´d decided to stay the night in San Julian on our way up north. ...

      More Driving,!

Another long drive, planned to bush camp but time was running out and there wasn't really anywhere decent to stop, so we pulled in to the most amazing campsite, on a land spit between two rivers. Beautiful spot and the never ending Patagonian wind died down ...
