... had a walk along the lake. A much wider boulevard than in Bellagio and the trees that lined the lake quite different again. When we returned to Porcino we found that our room had been invaded by flies. Moreno moved us to the fly free downstairs room and then ensued a moment of comedy gold... Marco and Moreno in true Italian campness, hands gesticulating, cries of "terrible" hoovering up ...
... realised we weren't on the right path at all, we
weren’t even in the right valley. Not to worry, we re-planned the route and
carried on. The walk took us towards the town of Terlago and the Lago di
Terlago before heading round Monte Mezzana and climbing back up to the village
of Covelo and on the village of Monte Terlago where our campsite is. The walk
was lovely, past vineyards and apple orchards.
Saturday 20th July
... depicting traditional crafts and scenes. We had nearly completed the
loop when the weather turned very stormy. The thunder and lightning got closer
and closer, the heavens opened and the wind whipped up. We hurried back to the
campsite but not before we got completely soaked. The weather tomorrow is
supposed to be better.
Monday 15th June
We headed off to the Salle de Monte Cocca (Salle means saddle) and up the Valle ...
... to upgrade our hire car to a Classic Italian Alfa Romeo Giuletta ( or similar) was a complete wast of time and we ended up with a citroen C3 Picasso. Not at all similar !! I will be taking this up with the hire company on our return. Other than that it has been a fantastic ten days which as Kate keeps on reminding me was all booked by her.... Except the car hire! At least I tried.. So until next time it's Arrivederci from Audrey & tony. Ciao for now and enjoy the last few pictures ...
... and lots of traffic were totally ignored once I flicked the lever to Manual and used the paddle shifters to encourage to horses to get their act together! The next minutes flew past so damn quickly as I was told to "use the gas" by my guide and gave the beast some stick! For a rev head like me, it was total bliss listening to the screaming V8 and using the instantaneous shifters to up and down the 7 speeds!
All too soon we were back in the parking lot and my dream was ...
