First day of skiing, it was super sunny and really warm, but it hadn't snowed in a while so the conditions were not that great - pretty icy and much less groomed and more rugged then skiing in the U.S. For a snowboarder, it was definitely tough. We took a few Gondolas up to the top and one that carried about 75 people packed in - pretty crazy experience, but the lines in Switzerland for the Gondola to go up were crazy - we waited quite a long time to get up, ...

We made the decision not to do skiing on this day as we wanted to be able to take in as much of the Swiss Alps as we could without a chunk of it going into skiing. This was a good choice. It really was a great way to finish the day and even better as Kristen and I found some tropical vodka and mixed with lemonade was delicious!
