... we have people in our program from both - rivals! IT WAS A GREAT GAME - GO PACK and we met people there from Wisconsin and all over the U.S. that now live in Switzerland. We took the train back to St. Gallen and got home about midnight for class on Monday.

Skiing here was definitely the most hardest place I have skied, but it was a challenge and so fun!

Needless to say, walking up the stairs to class today was much harder - we are pretty sore!

Lunch was expensive. We bought a sandwich, a bagel, a salad and a quiche for over 40 Australian dollars! Ouch.

The fog was a feature of the trip (you know it's been a quiet day when the fog is a feature) with thick fog covering the countryside in places. At times we had about 30 to 40 metres visibility.

We left the cruise and the others from the tour (as they went off to sample cheese fondue and yodelling techniques) and we wandered off to walk the old town and find a bite to eat. The buildings are elegant and often tree-lined, the buses run on electricity and on-time (every time) and there are lots of bicycles. There were ...

Mt Titlis was closed yesterday due to high winds but open again today so we were back on the train to Engelberg then took the cable cars & gondola to the top - altitude 3238m. At the first station we stopped at the tubing fun park, then up to the top for a casual lunch. Braved the elements to take part of the cliff walk but the sadly the visibility was very poor & the wind & snow made us glad to get back to the shelter.

... at the hostel and see if she could give us directions to an ATM.

God bless her soul! When we stepped in and told her that we needed to know where to get cash she said, "First you need a place to put your bags, no? The cash is not the first thing you need." And boy was she right! She went on to tell us that we could not check in now, the office was not open, so we could not pay now. She would give us the keys to our room and our sheets, and we would pay later. Besides ...
