Catalina Island is famous as a home for the rich and famous. The Wrigley family in particular was instrumental in protecting the island as an exclusive hideaway for wealthy people and movie stars. Today over 99% of the island is protected from development. Most of the homes are in Avalon while the rest of the island is largely untouched. It's an amazing story of protecting a priceless island for future generations.

I don't doubt it. The elevators were too busy so we walked up and down, occasionally taking a break. Windjammer opens at 6 am today. ...

... Africa and they continued to be our kitchen gear for four months. We added to the mix a vacuum, an iron, a water boiler, a French press, a big plastic mixing bowl, and that’s about it. After about a month there we felt sure enough that we would get jobs in the area, so we decided to sign a lease at Coronado Apartments in Newport Beach, which are the same apartments we lived in before we left for our travels. We like the location; being beside ...

The Friday Mah Jonggs are going to Palm Springs for a week where we will play and just chill. Those ladies are in the photo of my birthday dinner. Barbara, the pretty blonde is another gem out here.
There are many terrific museums in this city. I am lucky that my friend, Marlene (from ...
