... and my heart is thrilled but leaving a 19 year old cat to be intermittently cared for by others is definitely not fair. Dad has a good and currently functioning care package. K is able to manage without me at a pinch.

I have plans to visit Copenhagen (due this month but that's not going to happen now, sadly). London is a day trip away and eminently doable. If I get to Plan B (a van) I will have a lot more freedom of movement ...

Only really got one thing done today, although I might head out again if I can work out what else there is to after 3pm. Having said that, the Doctor Who Experience was a good few hours and worth the time it took. If you have no interest in Who then this post might not be for you! ... of the suggested sights were on the south coast, which made us suspicious as to where the journalist who compiled the list might have been born. The suggestions ranged from the specific (Avebury Stone Circle) to the more abstract (The Lake District). Still, it's something to aim for and will put some miles under the wheels.


So we've found the fuel gauge, seen it's showing nearly empty, filled up with diesel, and now as we're pushing 4pm, ...

... and some songs. We wondered the streets a bit before we had to head back tot the train. Much like London the streets are winding and confusing, but the town isn't that big so it doesn't take long to get back on track.  Modernization hits everywhere at some point and Cardiff is no different. ... a seaport any more as they have put a barrage across the mouth. Into the barrage they have a three step system for fish to move freely between the ocean and the bay. The old fishermans cottage and the old pubs were beautiful. The architecture here was very different and you could see the French and Spanish influence in everything. The lock was sealed over so it could not be used any more. Roald Dahl has a plaque there in the block wall. A bus ride back into town ...
