The aim today was to drive to the Green Mountains in Vermont - the **** sat nav we've hired likes to take us on long routes so today's drive was 6 hours long! This included driving the length of Manhattan in rush hour in heavy rain and getting lost in a car park. Luckily ...

We did hop off for a dose of historical culture, however, at Johnson Hall, where a British settler, Sir William Johnson, forged relationships with the native Indians in the Mohawk Valley. ...

... the lobby, motorcycle parked under security camera out front. Went to the gourmet grocery store next door. Had crusty bread, crab salad, and a huge can of Foster's beer for dinner. Nice hot shower, and I am a new woman.

      475 miles today, easy miles.

Onward to mi casa tomorrow, hopefully. I haven't checked the weather forecast yet - still working on that can of Foster's!
