    After much anticipation to get out of Negombo we decided not to pay the hefty fee for a driver and instead rely on good ol faithful public transport. This might not seem like a big thing but for us, after enduring India's train system, we were taking a massive leap of faith.     ... wrong. The eye specialist was a darling, in from Colombo for the day (another reminder of Wales) who, after a quick examination, prescribed cream for both internal and external use. Bacterial infection apparently, probably looks worse than it is. I don't feel very fanciable and it's affecting my mood no end. But hey ho (2) I have the cream, the treatments started and by Christmas I'm sort of promised my eye will be back to normal. Thank you, I know you're all so pleased ...
