... not. Ohh no. If we had to go back we would miss our train and the next one wasn't for a few more hours. The man was quick to notice this was not ideal for us and happily gave us clear instructions on how to fix our mistake. Conveniently the wrong train went the right way and we could stay on for about 10 stops before we got off and waited for the express train to Hikkaduwa, which of course was delayed by about half an hour!

Near Kandy, we climbed about 500 meters above sea level up Sigiriya rock . This was amazing !! Tough work though. We then headed to Bandarawela on a public train.
