          ... Africa. The Iowa has been at the port since 2012. It was very interesting and moving to tour the ship. I also enjoyed having Ted be able to talk about his time on Naval ships. It is eye opening to see life on a ship. Never being stationed at sea, it gave me a greater idea about the sacrifices made by sailors including Ted, John and Dad. After touring the ship we went back to our ship for the rest of the day. We are getting ready to leave for Cabo San Lucas. We will be there ...

          Hotel Mac Rae, Avalon, Santa Catalina Island, 6pm

          Queuing up for the ferry at Long Beach and seeing the people waiting I realised a lot of them lived in Santa Catalina and were returning home, and they were friendly and seemed to know each other or the ferry staff.

We would take a few park toys (a slack-line/tight- rope which we set up between two trees, my hula-hoop, a towel to do yoga on, Brock’s basketball and the Frisbee).           ... part of me that is bummed out about not having a gym on this trip. My favorite piece of equipment is a jump rope which led to this purchase. It bundles up small is rather light and I can still get a workout anywhere I go. Deal!
