        ... unreal, sun is fierce and not a breath of wind. Afternoons on the balcony are the order of the day, listening to all the birds shouting at each other and arguing over bread dropped on the floor at the cafe by the lake.
        Only downside is having to wait until 7 till the restaurants open. Not easy for two gluttons like us. Had a rubbish meal first night too which is enough to put us in a bad mood for about a week. Italy almost done. ...

        This is a simple hotel, with simple rooms, with a simple breakfast, that will do job.
        If you want a pool, a breakfast with 3 miles and a runaway to put the car...this is not what you are looking for.

        The only way to see the Last Supper by L Da Vinci is to take a tour that includes it for about ten times the cost of an actual Last Supper ticket because the tour operators grab most of the tickets as they are released - only 20 (seems more like 30) are allowed to go in every 15 mins, and tickets are released 2 months ahead and go immediately.         ... different era. We then headed back to the Piazza Duomo and took a walk through the Galleria, wow, talk about splendour. The Shopping malls in Dubai are massive and ostentatious, gregariously so but the Galleria is classic quiet opulence. Prada and Versace being the biggest store holders in the centre. It is truly a beautiful place to just stand and watch and look.

        ... platform 14, biglietto lady for that train said no wrong train go 10. Arrived at 10 with 30 seconds to spare to be told "wrong train run to 9 or you miss", we did and we didn't. The three of us fell asleep on the train, fortunately all managing to be awake when time to get off back at Verona.
