... that was how it felt for someone who is not very comfortable on a snowboard and also new to the idea of a drag lift (which I guess is the translation according to wordreference). It is also much easier for skiers as being pulled from something resting between their legs is much like the momentum they normally feel going down a hill. Snowboarders move sideways down a hill and therefore it becomes a bit more ...

French Provence, hospitality only in France

... my arriving at the hotel needed some explanation. I looked around the foyer at the broken arm chair and the plastic tables, for a moment I hoped my room had been double booked, sadly it hadn't. "restaurant" I gestured, pretending to put imaginary food in my mouth. I already knew the answer. A Galic shrug of the shoulders told me I was a fool to ask. What was I thinking, stupid Englishman arriving at my hotel with such ridicules expectations. After all it was 9:10 pm !

... whilst searching for the Palace of Nations i couldn't see it :/ We were given 2 hours here, so I went to find the United Nations building.

I do love how the Swiss being 'neutral' and all, ...

The boys had their ski lesson in the morning, while ...

Christmas Day visit to the Caves

... It was a 45 minute drive through the countryside and a narrow road in the middle of a gorge. There were cliffs below us and cliffs above us. Literally above us... they hung over the road in places!

It was very beautiful inside, with clear water ponds and small waterfalls, and heaps of stallagmites and stallactites. It was an hour tour through the caves, with a light show in the biggest cave at the end. It was very cool to see and the boys really enjoyed it.
