Off to the ski resort of Zermatt.

This was an earlier start than usual as it's just over 3 hours to Zermatt.

Three trains, an IR, an IC, an R. Not with the lingo yet.

Lucerne to Bern, Bern to Brig to Visp to Zermatt.

Fairly busy on the trains but especially the Bern one.

There's a refreshment cart on the busier trains, or even a lunch car on longer rides.
