Did you miss me? Although I haven't done much as a doctoral student, yet, I thought I’d orient you a little bit.

I’ve settled in rather nicely. I live smack dab in the middle of town right above Bourke’s Bar. My place, both quirky and marvelous, was built in the mid-1800s. Huge windowsills, thick walls, 100 year old mold, modern facilities installed willy nilly, a steep and dark stairwell. "Character" might be the right word for it. The bar ...

we went right down to the Blasket Islands, very interesting part of Ireland, the inhabitants were evacuated from there in 1953, sad but beautiful story, loved it.

... Cellphone coverage where we are at moment so can't confirm yet. WIll spend our last night probably close to Dublin Airport, so we are handy in morning to drop car off before we head to Paris.

Have managed to leave my Euros and Hong Kong dollars in London but Hotel has them. I just can't get access to them. So I wont be doing too much shopping - oh well!

Loving Ireland, and can understand most of what the people are saying.
