St Mary's Church

Out at the Pembroke refinery, my meeting was being held in an old church on the property that has been turned into an education center. It was kind of weird having a meeting there.

And they boiler was out of service, so it was extremely cold inside. Actually felt colder than the outside weather.

Lamphey Court Hotel

I had to move hotels since the main one was fully book on this night.
So, it was over to the Lamphey Court Hotel - an old mansion that was converted. Not the same as the spa hotel in Saundersfoot, but this one does have an indoor pool.

It was an adventure trying to get here. With all the rain, the roads were flooding. If it weren't ...

At the hotel

Back at the St. Brides Spa Hotel in Saundersfoot.
Unfortunately, winter doesn't make this the best place to stay. It's dark when you are at the hotel, so you don't get the views. And the spa doesn't stay open late enough in the winter. At least I will get to enjoy it over the weekend.
And the walk along the coast - kind of scary in the d...

Whisky, Water and Chocolate making Monks!

Now halfway through our trip of Wales and again i've been blown away by the beauty of Wales and it's people. If our first day was dominated by the reds and browns and forests of east wales, our second day has been green and blue - green of the fields and the blue of the ocean.

Woke up early this morning, had a quick bite to eat and then ...

Another BEAUTIFUL day in Wales!

The sun continues to shine and every local here tells us this weather is unheard of! Gordon was a few minutes late this morning which he never ever is late, except when the Heilun Coos wouldn't get off the road so Glenn and I decided to play a prank on him. We sat ourselves on the step of the B&B and when he drove in we both made exaggerated...

Photographs
I have been changing the main photograph on the home page here and some of you may have missed some of my favorites so I am adding them to this entry.

Tidbits
We have found the food in all areas of the UK to be excellent except the coffee which is weak and awful tasting. We ask for strong coffee, we go to Starbucks, not...

Carneferon Castle

Wow today we have internet access, halleluija! We left Conwy and drove 200 miles today of winding roads along the coast of Wales. It was beautiful! We ended today at Pembrokshire which is almost at St. Davids at the bottom of Wales. The B&B we have today is Fabulous! It is the Hoenyemoon suite on the top floor and is the entire top floor. It...

Coastal Path Wanderings

Woke up to blue skies after a beautiful sleep of about 12 hours this morning.

We hit the Pembrokeshire coastal path first thing - we were both in awe of how beautiful it was - God is such an amazing artist. I think too, when you're cramped in the city for a long time, you appreciate it all the more. So yeah, it was beautiful, where we sta...

Out of the City and on the Beach

We got up early in order to catch a train for the east. We were scheduled to meet Kelly and Denise in Newport, Wales at noon. Brida tried to get me to have "the full fry", but I stopped at the corn flakes. After breakfast, I paid the bill, caught a bus, and headed back to the train station in downtown Cardiff.

The first train that we we...
