... on all 11 screens? If you didn't guess rugby, you were wrong. The Italy vs Romania match was on when we arrived, so we sat down with a pint and watched it. The following match was Ireland bs France, and the pub started to fill up with Irish, from who knows where. ​Taking a trip up to Abergavenny, hoping the weather is fine.An early start out through Herefordshire, we crossed the Welsh border at Monmouth.Once we reached Abergavenny the Welsh grey stone walls and buildings were predominant as well as the grey slate roofing.

... 4km to the east of the cottage. It is a small town with many fine stone buildings with a rebuilt castle & a fine church & several pubs. We invested our 20p (50c) for 2 hours parking which is virtually never free in the UK & wandered around the town to find a cafe serving excellent coffee & wi-fi access. Met another Aus couple from Brisbane & heard to our surprise that Australia beat England at the Rugby World Cup last night.
