Lovely drive with Geoff and Amanda to Lefkosia (Nikosia) where we crossed the Turkish border. We did some shopping and had a drink of fresh lemonade at one of the cafes in the Suk.

We then drove to the Mall for some lunch before heading to Lefkara, a small village in the mountains famous for their lace and silver.

We got home after six, got changed and went to dinner in the town of Lemesol at TGIF.

A forty minte taxi ride took me to the airport and into a small lounge via a fairly efficient passport control and security check. Larnaca airport is not large but is quite new so it was not far to the gate when we were called.

The flight back was on a 767 which is distinctly old and tired. But we were on time and I easily met Brian for the trip home. But late in at just after midnight.

You have to experience it to get the absolute ...

... winter season in Cyprus; the temperature was approximately 22C. As Cyprus is a year round tourism destination, there are flights thro ughout the winter months with five foreign airlines having routes for winter 2013. Travelling from Paphos to Limassol the infrastructure system was good, including good main roads and motorways connecting the two resorts. The CTO (Cyprus Tourism Organisation) explained that Cyprus has invested in major improvements to the infrastructure ...

If you want to have a look around the premises take this stroll with me.

I am first taking you to the gardens -the koi lagoon. This place here is so very different during summer. I will show you one of the pools and I shall take you to the other end of the garden. I want you to have a look on the Adult-only wing. Unfortunately it is closed at the moment but I can still imagine how different it would be with life around. I ...
