... So it only took about 30 minutes.
After returning our bikes, we headed back to the condo for a late lunch. And then we spent the rest of the afternoon at the condo's swimming pool. It's an amazing pool, with most of it almost a river surrounded by tropical plants and waterfalls. One of the waterfalls even had a cave behind it. There were also a couple of waterslides, which we tried out. But after my aqua-adventure at Atlantis ...
... we stopped at Costco where we had lunch. Derek and I had hot dogs with drinks and Larry just had a swirled frozen yogurt. Derek bought sandals and I bought a ukelele. We also got more salad and ravioli for supper. When we got back we walked across to the Safeway to get pasta sauce for the ravioli.

I ventured off, solo, and drove the hour long drive to the North Shore. Where I reconnected with Moses "Mo" a friend from the island that we met the last time we were here. Mo was injured in a car accident back in 2002 that left him paralyzed. He uses special tools and is able to paint the most amazing paintings with his mouth and a simple paint brush. ... can’t drive all the way around the island (as with many of the Hawaiian islands). The road simply comes to an end with a turnaround point at Ke’e Beach. It is at this place where you can do some serious hiking up to the Napali Coast. I definitely have this adventure in my plans, yet I need to wait for my luggage to arrive because I need some *stuff* in there. I have actually spent over $80 on replacement necessity items.

Proud they should be as Kauai is a beautiful relatively unspoilt, not over commercialised place. Arriving at the hotel we piled out into the large reception area but unfortunately our room wasn't quite ready.
