We walked around and old sugar can town called "Old Koloa Town". Lots of little shops and home to my favorite Koa Lady. This lady is in a little shop and I love her jewelry. After returning our bikes, we headed back to the condo for a late lunch. And then we spent the rest of the afternoon at the condo's swimming pool. It's an amazing pool, with most of it almost a river surrounded by tropical plants and waterfalls. One of the waterfalls even had a cave behind it. ... we stopped at Costco where we had lunch. Derek and I had hot dogs with drinks and Larry just had a swirled frozen yogurt. Derek bought sandals and I bought a ukelele. We also got more salad and ravioli for supper. When we got back we walked across to the Safeway to get pasta sauce for the ravioli.

... can’t drive all the way around the island (as with many of the Hawaiian islands). The road simply comes to an end with a turnaround point at Ke’e Beach. It is at this place where you can do some serious hiking up to the Napali Coast. I definitely have this adventure in my plans, yet I need to wait for my luggage to arrive because I need some *stuff* in there. I have actually spent over $80 on replacement necessity items.

... of rain the week before. When the island gets heavy rain, waterfalls that aren't normally present sprout up from high in the mountains. Even Captain Kelly (our guide) was commenting as to how many waterfalls there were. She hadn't seen many of them before. What a treat!
