... before boarding our riverboat so we decided to go to Marksplatz again, where today the open food market was set up with all the locals enjoying the day. Just like any Farmers market, you see great cheeses, plants, and different street foods, stand selling different kinds of pretzels, and another one selling all kinds of Swiss savories like quiches. We walked for about 4 hours and after dinner at a local Swiss restaurant we came back to the hotel. Total steps walked today 15,827 or 7.3 ...

... afternoon.

  • I caught the tram to Bankverein and took a few snaps of the Tinguely fountain, a crazy fountain made of contraptions / mechanisms that spray water in every direction.
  • From there I walked to the Basler Papiermuhle (paper museum). It was rated as one of the top things do to in Basel. When I got there the entrance was 15 francs. I could be bothered paying that much and instead went and sat on the bank of the Rhein river just out front.
