... short, the damn route got us lost and we ended up doing another massive detour. At rixheim, we eventually turned around to try to find any kind of river to camp on. Rivers are nice. We didnt find the rhine, but ended up staying on the banks of a kittle canal which was super pretty and a fair distance from any dodgy dog walkers!
dinner, consisting of more garlic tha pasta, followed by wine and bed was pretty much exactly what the doctor ...

... right feeling turned into pain, and then into alot of pain by the end of the day. I guess this made me a rather irritating travel partner to jan. Tough. It hurt.

As part of our weekend trip south, we set Freiburg im Breisgau as our
Saturday night destination. We arrived in the evening just before dark.
We stayed in a cute little hotel called Hotel Blume. It was about 10 km

NOTHING is open! The only reason we put Mulhouse on our itinerary was the car museum. It was Andrew and Alain's dream to visit this museum, one of the largest car collections in the world. YAWN! So Andrew and Alain headed off this morning to live out their fantasies and the rest of us walked into town to find some breakfast. We ended up at the railway station where we had petit dejeuner.....breakfast. Nothing else was open. Certainly no Sunday morning cafe culture ...
