... last night and the service was correspondingly bad. In fact after sitting at the bar for 10 minutes without being acknowledged I decided to have last drinks in my room.

The only reason I went to Fort Lauderdale was to get to somewhere else, and on that basis it’s been the most pleasant surprise of this trip. Elegant, laid back, pretty and with a great selection of bars and restaurants, I really wished I could have spent an extra day or two here to see some more.

... wrong if we simply found deep water and followed the coast line. And in fact, this is what we did for a while. Still we were mighty anxious until we actually figured out markers and could orient ourselves on the chart. Once we were able to do this, we began to relax a bit and enjoy the change in the color of the water from deep green to turquoise blue. We watched the shoreline meander. ... ish I believe before we made it to bed, Rodd unfortunately had to sit on the sidelines and watch us all dancing the night away as his foot is still swollen. You would think since I was up dancing (and drinking) all night that I would have a good sleep in but that was not going to happen, We were up at breakfast by about 9am and then decided to hang by the pool for awhile. Naturally all the seasoned cruisers were up at some ungodly hour to put their towels on the pool ...

Sketchy Hotel

... smells of fresh paint. The bed is big and comfy with 4 soft pillows. No decor. It is basic. The price was right and most of the guests we talked to were leaving on a cruise tomorrow. That includes a pack of Asians who were filling up their plastic water bottles with restaurant water. There's another story there, but it will have to wait. Tomorrow our shuttle leaves at 10:30 am. ... at La Guardia airport waiting for flight to Florida. Our USA friend John will pick us up and is hosting us for a few weeks. We and John And Elaine will be cruising the Caribbean for a week some time soon. Also on the agenda is Disney world.
