21st June, breakfast at 8am in the Inn, graprefruit, croissants, baguette, jam and coffee and off we went.

Back to France: Bastia, Corsica
... disappointing and generally not a patch on our Italian culinary experience. I choose fish on two occasions: after all Bastia is seaside and the home of Corsican fishermen. In both instances at ‘recommended’ restaurants the fish is overcooked, and not particularly fresh. Are the French resting on their gastronomic laurels a little, we wonder?
