On Weds night we watched a photo presentation which was put together from a mix of everyone's photos, which was really nice.
I'm pleased to say that Digby (the soppy guard dog) managed to get the rat that was in our dorm :-) Unfortunately there are many more rats, and while I was cooking another flapjack one evening I saw one run along the worktop. I have to say I embarrassed myself and let out ...
100 hatchlings, 5 turtles, 2 rays and a swamp eel!
... for 3 weeks now! Next week will apparently be quite an easy one, as we only do a couple of days work, then we're taken on a fun snorkel somewhere, then Thursday will be camp clean, then we get the rest of the week to ourselves to take final photos, explore more of the island, pack our bags etc. Although it will be sad to leave, I'm looking forward to the luxuries of home, and just to finally feel clean would be nice! :-)

I've arrived!
... There are huge spiders called palm spiders (no prizes for guessing where the name came from), loads of crabs everywhere and lots of geckos and skinks which are really cute. The worst thing is the giant centipedes. We had one in our dorm the other night which we thought was big (around 8 inches long) but that was a baby compared to the monster we saw last night! It was as thick as a sausage and about a foot long! I was so shocked I forgot ...
Weekje offline
... weekend is er hier Regatta, feest op het strand en allerlei bootwedstrijden ed. Daar zijn we vanmiddag wezen kijken. Wat een gekkenhuis. Overal auto's en onwijs druk. Maar super leuk om mee te maken. Tess en mama hebben nog heerlijk op het strand gedanst, wat voor veel lachende toeschouwers zorgde. Na diner beiden meisjes snel onder de douche geslingerd en in bed. Nu wij ook moe, zo lekker slapen en dan morgen weer tassen pakken. De tijd vliegt veels te hard ...

... vleerhonden en tig muggen (vooral Tamara moet het ontgelden). Hierna doen we wat souveniers shoppen en lunchen en nemen taxi terug. De middag spenderen we in het zwembad en na Lara haar middagslaap op het strand. Lara kan trouwens lopen!! Echt super leuk hoe ze rond loopt :) en ze heeft ook eindelijk haar eerste tandje gekregen. Morgen staat een tochtje met een glass bottom boot op het programma, kunnen de meiden ook visjes kijken ...
