... John later fixed a few mor leaks. Had dinner at a beautiful fish restuarant with some old friends - very pleasant evening. Bought food for our trip back to Majorca and plan to leave Mahon tomorrow morning circa10am. Ian sends huis best wishes to Mar and Denise and looks forward to meeting up on Saturday or the next few days. Happy days.
... to a beautiful mansion on the seafront with truely great views. As well as a great lunch Peter was well read in the history of Mahon harbour.
We have been dropped back to our lovely dry boat, but still too hot to stay onboard during the day so now in a bar preparing for some tourism tomorrow.
Signing off john.
Active day on the boat today although sailing miles much reduced - John cleaned and dried a pretty wet boat after yesterday's sail. Hard work aside we had time for a pleasant breakfast, lunch and now having lamb/sea bass for supper. Mahon an interesting town - quieter today as now entering the low season - maybe the marina prices will drop. Walked up into the old town before food looking at the sights! but now back on the waterside for food. Tomorrow may be even less active.
... in Mahon a little bit wet but in time for a good late lunch of Dorada. Found a good mooring in marina Mahon - pretty much in the centre of all action. Remnants of a classic boat racing event - good to see some excellent designs. Monday a bit if boat servicing and r& r ready for some more action. ...
... instructions to me. John did the tricky anchoring bit at the end. Paddled into town for supper Weather forecast tomorrow more of the same so should be fine sailing. Enjoying ourselves.
P.s. ian is a blind bugger, so I have had to edit this, or no one would understand it, ( dont worry he cant read this)
On a serious note it is very fine that we are back sailing together ...
