... direct route made slightly more fraught by not hearing bleeps to indicate the trailer board was working. Weather was damp and misty, with lights on all the way to St Pol de Leon. Once again at Super U for a final shop. I stocked up with butter, croutons, beer for the boys and gin. Deb bought even more cheese! The sun was out in Roscoff, and we parked at the Chapelle de Sainte Barbe for a quick picnic, before heading to the ...

... the harbour at Argenton, the sun was out, and we were beginning to think about lunch. We walked out to the Presqu'ile du Vivier, stopping to photo a slow worm, and had a look at the enclosed seawater shellfish pen. We both had moules frites in mind as we turned back to the village. Day 6 Light cloud forecast for today, but the morning was bright and sunny. We had a leisurely start, bacon for breakfast and wrote some postcards. We decided to try and cycle to Portsall along the coast as the wind had eased a bit. Due to poor fitness, I had to get off and walk, and for a short ...

... 1991. We followed a road over the dunes and locked the bikes to a sign, then headed anti-clockwise around the coast. Thrift and Sea Campion in bloom everywhere, and Stonechats chacking in the gorse. At the headland we scrambled up the rocks for another view, then discovered a kelp burning pit and a pebble maze, just like in the Isles of Scilly. Heard a cuckoo in the dunes. On the way back, we stopped at the Biscuiterie where I bought a model of Le Four, ...

... local books and to my surprise, a replacement card reader for I my iPad. After a good midweek replenishment shop, we headed back to the gite and had a latish lunch. We both sank into a bit of inertia in the afternoon, but the weather had brightened, and we eventually got out and explored the old railway path down to Argenton, a pleasant alternative to walking the main road. We headed for the coast, past a trawler now tearoom which proved ...
