We ate a good breakfast on the patio outside of our hotel then loaded up the Golf once again after carrying our bags down 3 flights of stairs! We drove into Cassis to buy a dress for Emma that she had seen the night before (a bit of consolation after not getting the purse in Arles). Then we headed to Hyeres to take the ferry to Ile de Porque Rolles …

Who said it got easier?
... the others I will buy them a helmet and a light for their bicycles. I couldn't bear anything to happen to them because they didn't have the $20 for the basic safety items. They are all very happy. After lunch we head back to The Blue Pumpkin for ice cream. It is considerably hotter today and even in the freezers the ice cream is more like milk shake. Close the door on your way out
... strewn all over the floor. The rucksack is in for repair. It's a small job but it needs stitching before it gets any worse. The guy originally said it would be ready next Friday. Ten days for a tiny amount of stitching. A smaller job was done by a smaller shop in Berlin in pretty much a day. Now I get the bag back on the day I fly out. Meanwhile it's goodbyes in the time of Facebook. In fact I prefer au revoir - the meaning and philosophy is more appealing.

The storms FINALLY abate
... it just didn't seem terribly supportive to be snapping pics. I wish I had some photos though. I mean, what a unique experience, right? Antibes
... train bound for Paris only to discover people sitting in our seats! Typical was our Australian response; a shrug of the shoulders and an "Oh well they must have double booked us, we'll just sit somewhere else." The people in "our seats" weren't so sure and checked it out with the train manager. The joke turned out to be on us who had boarded the train a day earlier than we were supposed to! Oops.
