Aujourd'hui ce termine mon aventure en Italie! Mais quelle aventure de reve! La quantites de choses que j'ai apprise, les idees que j'ai acquises et surtout les gens que j'ai connu ont fait de ce voyage un moment inoubliable ! I just left Milano where I took my last course of coffee and I loved it ! I'm actually very sad to leave this beautiful country and all my friends here, who knows when I will see them again? but it's now time ...

... us out because we were late for the scheduled meeting time. 12:45 rolls around and we're still just sitting waiting. Conor decides to check with the receptionist who tells us that Lukka is in a meeting, and will be out asap. At about 1:05, we decide we might need to just reschedule (the receptionist had no idea how long his meeting would be), but just as my faith in this meeting began to waiver up walks Lukka! Museum at Academia for a bit of culture- lots of painting of last supper that were rescued(?) from churches in town. Some really old 14c stuff and some more recent restored items. Amazing brushwork and huge alter pieces some with bible stories that were new to me. Spent arvo wandering lanes and canals. Pizza at same restaurant. ...

... run back out to the machine while I waited at the barrier. Thankfully no-one else came to leave.
We navigated ourselves out of Trieste much better than we got in and headed straight for the motorway. Some Italians really like to hog the middle lane, or the outside lane in the case of 2 morons who stayed there for about an hour on our way to Verona.
