    ... fell onto the ground and pretended it was dead until I poked it with a broom. It started to like make biting motions with its teeth like he was saying - “Come here, I want to eat you “ or “Can you see my teeth, aren’t they gorgeous?”


    Later on we got four pints of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream because it was buy one get one free at the grocery store. We got Coffee Toffee ...

    ... in checking out every inch of the yard. I saw several lizards, one of Harley’s favorite things to chase, in the yard and he searched the bushes intently, sensing they were there. There was also a stray cat passing through the yard but he had to stay inside in case he got too close and the cat got the better of him. No need to be fixing claw marks on his nose.

    Leon cooked up some sausages and Gayle got beans and corn on the cob ready ...

    ... beak first, hoping to catch a fish in their throat pouch. Sea gulls cawed as they soared around above us.

    As the tide went out, there were several areas where the water was left behind in depressions in the sand, stretching for a hundred yards or more. There were hundreds of small fish jetting around, waiting for the tide to come back in and rescue them.
