VEGAS BABY!!!!
Wooooooo! Last night was mint!
Went for tapas in a fancy pants place. Although non-traditional patatas bravas is a MASSIVE no no. CRISPS!! with tomato sauce on. Absolutely rubbish! Drowned my sorrows with sangria. :)
On to the casino, Ibi had to wee ...again, so we nipped in caesar's palace and promptly got lost. (I knew exactly …

Once down from the tower, we walked the streets for a while taking in the sights and watching the many "interesting" people populating the streets along with us. Apparently you can have your picture taken with just about anyone (for a fee) as celebrity look a-likes are everywhere.
After a busy day, we made our way slowly back to our motel.
Tomorrow we will stay in the Las Vegas area and enjoy the show.

Historical Traveler Reviews Casino Royale and Hotel Las Vegas
Nice Experience
Great value, excellent location, decent clean room, affordable casino play, pleasant casino staff, helpful hotel staff. Will stay there next visit.
Loved the Casino Royale
We went to Vegas for our honeymoon and stayed at the Casino Royale for 4 nights. It was great. Excellent location right on the strip between Harrah's and the Venetian. We went to the Imperial Palace's lunch every afternoon. It was about $9.95 a person. The room was large, great maid service. The fridge kept everything really cold, and the air conditioning was amazing. 5 minutes and you were nice and cool. Excellent drink prices $1 margaritas, lots of penny and nickel slots. I won at the promotional machines, but they won't let you cash out unless you win a jackpot. $250 to me was a jackpot! The only problems we had were finding the check in desk, it's in the middle of the casino, and on our last night our electronic key wouldn't work. We finally had the biggest security guard I"ve ever seen come to help us! For the price and location, it was an excellent value!
Terrible service, rude dealers
The $1 margaritas were about the only good thing going for Casino Royale. I was playing the $.50 roulette for about an hour, and I gave the dealer my rewards card. The dealer in turn gave it to the table supervisor, who was supposed to enter in my information and update it. He never got around to that because he was too busy flirting with one of the other table dealers.
He never gave me my card back after cashing out. I moved on to blackjack because I had a coupon for matchplay. I ended up winning, but didn't have my card because Mr. Womanizer had it in his section. I told the blackjack area supervisor all of the above, and he denied me my money. That is when I cashed in my chips, broke into Mr. Womanizer's conversation and got my card back, and proceeded to throw it out along with my value book, and I have never been back since.
Also, the casino is very dirty. They do not vacuum as much as they should. And they really could spring for some new roulette chips. Just because it's $.50 roulette doesn't mean I have to touch chips with layers of black stuff on it.
This Place ROCKS!
I stayed here for three days about 10 years ago, when I had very little $$$. The room was DECENT, but nothing spectacular.
Since then, I have come back to Las Vegas and stayed at the Stratosphere, MGM Grand, the Luxor and the Mirage. All of them more highly rated. To be honest, the rooms at these hotels are a little nicer with the amenities.
However - the MOST FUN I ever had was at Casino Royale! The location is excellent, the casino is excellent! Their machines accommodate EVERY TASTE from the 10 cent player to the $10 player! Not to mention, their slots seem (to me) to be much looser than the ones next door at Harrah's.
I mostly play table games, but enjoy the slots as well. I was happy with BOTH here! And the people who stay here are VERY down to earth (normal folks, you probably won't run into an Arabian Prince) but that is what I am most comfortable with.
My employer is sending me back here for a convention, and I SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED this hotel, even though he was willing to put me up at the Mirage (about $150 per night more!).
Each time I came back here, I was drawn to the casino, the cheap (but GREAT) eats and the inexpensive souvenier merchandise. This is TOTAL ATMOSPHERE!
THIS PLACE ROCKS!!!

Rip-off
I got the $99 vacation package. The 500$ gaming money was a hoax. I hit on 1 of the machines, and they only gave me $100. The machine said I hit for $34,300. Everybody around me was surprised. When the lights went off, they said I only hit for $100. I tried to tell the lady that it was a mistake, and she asked me real nasty if I wanted the $100 or not.
I don't think it is fair, that paying $99 for a vacation package and this is all I get out of it. They bribe you into taking the tour, and don't get anything out of it. I stayed at the Casino Royale, and it wasn't a very nice place. I advise other people to NOT take that package.
Thank you,
Barb Mock.
Great location, cheap, no extras but close to everything
Just came back after trip over Labor Day Weekend.
I stated it's above average and that's really for location, the casino and the bar.
If you are looking for shows, pool and good restaurants don't stay here but they have Subway, Noble Roman's and Outback if you get hungry. If you are a low end craps player, this place is great. They have $ 3 min with 100x odds. They also have a $ 2 min, 20 x odds table that is a sit-down table. They only have one dealer for this table and it is slower than normal but tons of fun. Actually, if you are a high roller, can't beat 100x odds on craps. Also, location location location, next to Harrah's. My friend and I paid $ 355 total, split $ 177 for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. We basically just slept there but again the casino is hopping.
It's quite a party in there all the time.
The room was completely remodeled and very clean. Pillow was like a rock so I recommend to take your own pillow. Check in was at night and there was no wait. We had to check out before noon
and they had to hold our luggage before our flight and they were very accomodating. Just a side note. If you want to catch a cab. It's much faster to go to Harrah's and get one over there. Also, Casino Royale is right next to McDonald's. Life can't get any better than that.
Bottomline is if you want to gamble and be close to the strip stay here. If you want big pools, tigers lions and bears and fancy food then this is not the place for you. I would stay here again without a problem.
Choice location - inexpensive surprise
Pleasantly surprised by inexpensive small hotel in prime location - between Venetian Hotel and Harrahs. Small 4 story hotel - room we had was on top (4th)floor non-smoking room recently renovated, comfortable king bed, fluffy new towels. Convenient covered parking right behind hotel. Refrig and coffeemaker. Easy walk to Mirage across the street. Cheap eats available at Denny's and McDonalds.
The Price Is Right!
I went to Las Vegas June 15-17th and I stayed at the Casino Royale. I did not want to spend a lot of money for a room because I heard that no one goes to Vegas to stay in their room. I got a room for $49 a night and I was not disappointed. It reminded me of a room found in many other average hotels (ie. ramada, holiday inn). Two double beds, a television, average size bathroom, sufficient closet room, a refrigerator, bar/counter area. The location is TERRIFIC! It was located directly across from the Mirage, Ceasars Palace, Treasure Island and right next to the Venetian. But why pay high prices for your room when you don't have to? There was an Outback Steakhouse, Denny's and McDonalds right there and $1.00 Margaritas all day. It was the best thing happening! If you want to go to Vegas and not worry about spending out your means I say choose Casino Royale, you won't be disappointed! :-P
Good no frills hotel in a great location
Basic hotel but does a good job providing a clean room in a great location. Don't expect to be pampered but if all you are looking for is a clean and adequate place to stay while you visit the Strip hotels then this fills the bill nicely. In-room safe included, TV worked fine (no premium channels), bed was comfortable and clean, bathrooms clean and average size, shower worked great. Carpet looked new. Outback Steakhouse above the hotel was good and on par with any other Outbacks that I have eaten at. Casino staff was hit or miss - either very nice or very surly, no in-between. Hotel staff was all very nice. But that's the case with most casinos in Vegas. Best place to find lower minimum tables in Vegas, although it can be a chore at some times to get on a table. Early mornings until 11:00am is very tough to get on a blackjack table because they only have 1. From 11:00am on table games are relatively easy to get on. $5 minimum blackjack is abundant with some 10 and 25 also. $2 craps is abundant.
The place to stay
I have stayed here at least 10 times and found this casino to be alot of fun. Its small friendly dealers clean rooms Small place but what a party in the evening. Location Location Location means alot it is right in the middle. I recomend you stop in and see for yourself.
