... for small kiddies. Although not on Thomson Super Family, Thomson still ran daily childrens activities through the day.
The restaurant served a good variety of freshly cooked food and was reasonably priced, the Sunday BBQ at 9€00 for adults and 6€00 for kids is great.
Entertainment was exceptionally good for a self catering complex (compared to our recent visits to AI hotels in Egypt and ...
... good infrastructure and the cleanliness of the place. We took a jeep 4x4 safari up into the mountains to the volcano. It was a bumpy but good time. When going up into the mountains you climb through a permanent cool cloud layer at 2,000 feet. This is caused by the cold ocean winds hitting the mountains and creating an inversion. The cloud layer area is about 1,500 vertical feet tall so that once you climb to 3,500 feet you actually drive up and above the ...
Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain and Canary Islands johnandrichOne more weekend before I fly back to the UK to spend three weeks with family. On the 19th May, my other half - the driver - motoguzziman joins me in Manchester and then on the 27th we fly to Totonto where the bike is stored. We´ll need two new tyres before we can take her anywhere - but friends are ready to help us sort that out.
Las Palmas, Spain and Canary Islands motoguzzimomma... I was turning them back in there were a lot of people asking for new forms because they had completed them wrong. I went to dinner with "my family" on the ship. One of the programs they offer onboard is the extended family program where faculty and life long learners adopt a family for the voyage. It is a really popular program so many times people just have either a mom or day. I have a mom, six sisters, and two brothers. My mom's name is Laurie Beth ...
Canary Islands, Spain and Canary Islands claudivLas Palmas was the home of Christopher Columbus before he sailed to the New World in 1492. It was an interesting place to walk around for a few hours. Beautiful wooden balconies on many of the buildings, tropical foliage and lovely sunny weather in the middle of January combined for a nice day. Amazingly, I escaped without buying a single pair of Spanish leather shoes (because my luggage was already so full). Next time I visit, I'll bring an extra suitcase to completely fill with shoes.
Las Palmas, Spain and Canary Islands ambough... somewhere you want to stay. True is relatively near the tube into the city (a cab ride of about £5) but it's not worth it. We left and didn't pay for the night we stayed there (I'm not sorry).
We also came to the conclusion that we needed a car so hired one to drive us to San Seb. Spent a another day in Bilbao seeing the obvious Guggenheim.
Hello. So, there hasn't been anything really that has happened since yesterday. I am posting some photos. I went to the beach yesterday. I laid out for about an hour and got a little burnt. I am glad to finally see this beautiful weather and not the rain. I also had my mid-term today for the first term....can you ...

Bilbao, Basque, Spain and Canary Islands lagalag1... and even a better location overlooking the main drag through this part of town. A bit noisy with the door to the balcony open, but with the door closed its fine. Last night we hoofed around town and stopped in a few tapas bars for dinner. We're still getting the hang of the ettiquette, but it is fun, and tasty. There are hundreds of different kinds of tapas. My favorite today was a slice of baguette topped with a nice slice of Jamon ...
Bilbao, Spain thepotvins... any tell im half into architecture?) I remember studying the architect, Frank Gehry, at Uni, and ever since I have wanted to see this building. The exhibits inside are pretty cool as well, its amazing what the definition of 'Art' is these days.... My whole time in Bilbao was just wandering wandering wandering. Not a great deal to the city, but its pretty. I fly back to London tomorrow. My whirlwind adventure, 3 cities-4days, has just ended. Enjoy these pictures!
