    ... villages, it's OK with me. Beautiful place.

    Drove from Marzamemi to Modica and checked into our B&B located in an elegant old renovated Palazzo on the main drag. Gorgeous old building run by a family that is apparently trying to keep the old beauty alive. Strolled the old town, climbing the 250 steps to the old cathedral and then did the passeggiata along with the townies.

    We picked up our rental car in Siracusa, made a quick run back up to Catania (short but boring story) then searched out the backroads and scenic routes in a roundabout drive to Noto. Happy to have the independence only a car can provide after relying on public transportation for several weeks.
