... daily siesta (we are embracing this Italian tradition). This walk nearly killed Maree and Sue as we navigated the zig zag of streets, up all those 394 steps in an effort not to be left behind by our navigators. Our hearts barely stayed intact. I could see huge rocks being hurled through the air with my naked eye. Eldon said he even felt the ground move at ...

A very early start to the day today. It is 6.20am and we are approaching Siracusa. Our tour starts at 8 am today. I can hear Max yawning in the background probably wondering why we are up so early on holidays! Breakfast (again) on our deck. Our ship anchored today so we had to catch a tender vessel to Siracusa wharf. We boarded our bus and headed off for the hour drive to Noto, a Baroque town which is a UNESCO Heritage site. The countryside is fertile with a lot of citrus farms. ...
