On the way to Verona, we stopped in Monte Carlo/Monaco. Monaco is a tiny country on the coast of France. It is a well known gathering place for rich and famous people and their yachts. Many successful people have Monaco as their residence because it is a "tax haven". (This means that they pay comparatively low tax).

We were due to meet at the restaurant for dinner for eight, from where we would be collected and taken home by bus at 11.30.
