... being a world away from Yarraville, I think everyone is starting to get a little homesick. The kids are increasingly talking of Australia, their friends, their things and the things they like to do at home. For us, it does take more energy to corral the kids 24/7 away from home and Jo, particularly, is getting tired. I'm not sure how many times the kids say "mum" in a day but it must be in the thousands! For some reason, they haven't yet realised that I'm ...

We took advantage of our mobility and drove up the coast to Cefalu today. We decided to just follow the signs and stick to the coast road. Today we went to Cefalu, a seaside town about an hour away from Palermo. Roads were once again very windy with lovely views. We walked into the main square, and saw the Norman cathedral which is still in use. Mass was on at 9.30 so we attended. There were a lot of children, and the priest then said that they were having first communion next Sunday. Quite a few of the tour group came, lots of Catholics we found out. ...

... 160;     We found a couple of good stopping spots too ...     We finally got back to the car 4hrs later, but had two rest stops to admire the view and took lots of photos so I think we did pretty well. We drove to a Rifugio on Piano Battaglia which we had booked for a night stop, only to find nobody there, a closed sign in ...
