Day 69 (Toulouse)

A travel blog entry by marcohj on Jul 29, 2014

Today we got up at what you claim as early but what more likely seems before 12 and got a few pastries for breakfast. Around 2pm we departed for the day; we were headed for an afternoon of tanning and swimming at the public pool. We got the metro a few stops (there are only two metro lines in Toulouse but they're both insanely frequent and work really well) and then a bus to the Olympic stadium or something where ...

Day 68 (Toulouse)

A travel blog entry by marcohj on Jul 29, 2014

We had an incredibly lazy day today as I remember. We got up very late, with Orson even still in bed, and went to a cafe that had some cheap breakfast deal. Me and you ended up getting chicken sandwiches and Sophie and chiara got the breakfast. Orson eventually appeared around 1 and got something to eat. Wanda, our eccentric hostess, suggested she showed us round Alcacer do Sal, as it was a "wonderful place to sit and drink something". So we set off about 9am. I'd planned to put Mum and Wanda in the back to talk to each other, and to have Mel in the front of the car. Wanda was having none of it. She wanted the Sat Nav off, as she knew much better and quieter roads and "that thing will drive me insane" she said. Fair enough. I turned ...

Moaning Mytle strikes again!

... use it to clean the toilet!!!

So I am now on my own in the van whilst the boys are all off fishing with the neighbours, Mike and Ken. I just hope they weren't after peaceful fishing!!

We really are in the middle of no-where here, it's great! There is nothing to do except walk or cycle around the barragem, fish in it or relax and read!! Just what we need after 5 days in the capital, no where to spend money!!! Especially with christmas looming ...
