... This is of course the end of the dry season (June-Sept) when average rainfall per month ranges from 0.1 to 1.0 inch total. There were surprisingly few cars on the road on this weekday. Wanda, our eccentric hostess, suggested she showed us round Alcacer do Sal, as it was a "wonderful place to sit and drink something". So we set off about 9am. So I am now on my own in the van whilst the boys are all off fishing with the neighbours, Mike and Ken. I just hope they weren't after peaceful fishing!!

We really are in the middle of no-where here, it's great! There is nothing to do except walk or cycle around the barragem, fish in it or relax and read!! Just what we need after 5 days in the capital, no where to spend money!!! Especially with christmas looming ...
