Spent the morning at a cafe next to our parking spot charging phones and using the wifi before starting our trek south. Wanda, our eccentric hostess, suggested she showed us round Alcacer do Sal, as it was a "wonderful place to sit and drink something". So we set off about 9am. I'd planned to put Mum and Wanda in the back to talk to each other, and to have Mel in the front of the car. Wanda was having none of it. So I am now on my own in the van whilst the boys are all off fishing with the neighbours, Mike and Ken. I just hope they weren't after peaceful fishing!!

We really are in the middle of no-where here, it's great! There is nothing to do except walk or cycle around the barragem, fish in it or relax and read!! Just what we need after 5 days in the capital, no where to spend money!!! Especially with christmas looming ...
