Oggi partiamo per Lauria dopo pranzo. Niente di spciale da fare, allora abbiamo aproffittato per fare il bagnetto a Matteo. Per il momento tutti fanno un pisolino.

Intanto, zia Antonietta prepara il pranzo, crepes con fontina, prosciutto e besciamella.

I had a lazy morning and then cycled the couple of hours down almost-straight road from Barletta to Molfetta where I'd arranged to meet up with Beatrice for lunch.

I was quite amazed by how industrialised the coastline was, particularly around Treni which seems to be the Granite-capital of the world! For miles, I passed one Ganite-yard after another with great blocks of stone all neatly arranged beside gantries and cranes - many with docks as well.

... to Patras on Peloponnese (the largest Greek island). This is a huge vehicular ferry with 300 berths each with 4 bunks and an ensuite (we had a berth to ourselves). The boats in this fleet have red hulls. The boat left port at 8:00pm. About 10 of us pooled our food we bought at Sorrento and had a feast and chatted until bed time. The sea was very calm and we all slept soundly.
