Tuesday dawned bright and sunny so we headed out early to catch the train to Assisi. An easy 40 minute ride on a commuter-style train brought us to the station in Assisi, far below the hill-town above. We caught a city bus (obviously the chief form of school transport for teenagers at this time of the morning) and got off near the city centre around 9am.

... little Church of Santo Stefano and the magnificent, imposing Basilica of St. Francis. After a lovely meal, we fell into bed exhausted! All-in all, it was a glorious day. ... It was a interesting find. We learned too that it was wise Graham only used his foot to adjust the line since they have hairs that sting and can cause rashes and allergic reactions. Don't mess with the lowly catepillar!

We did find the video store after all. Just around the corner from our place in the end. So tonight's feature: Peabody and Sherman. We figured since they go back in time and meet Leonardo di Vinci that it was still a part of their educational programming...
