After our 2 day sail we pull into Portamao and decide to drop anchor rather than go into the marina as it was a lovely big bay by the beach and a lovely afternoon. Just what we needed after 2 long days at sea. The sunset was beautiful and a cosy night in board before getting up at 3 to head onto Sines on the west coast of ...

Beach not so calm today... Wind from Spain apparently.... Said with derision and blame !!!! Like it's their fault!!!! Still blue ...

He feeding them and watching them fight over the bread. We had eyed up a fort on the drive to Lands End so headed there on the way back. Built by Henry the navigator (apparently famous), in the 15th century .... Clever bloke- he built a massive wall ...

... person with airbnb didn't show!!! Finally after a call to their help line managed to rally someone up to let us in. Phew!!! Not sure what plan B was. Beautiful spot .... Apartment ok very cosy but a lovely view, close to bay and everything close. The beach has escalators up and down to get from the look out to the beach. Beautiful sunset as we sit out and drink wine and eat cheese and olives. Went to beach for swim at about 7 and was perfect. Another Ocean we have swum ...
