Dagens rute går østpå mod Alcudia og skulle, uden svinkeærinder, være på ca. 55 km. Alt går som planlagt, indtil vi skal køre ca. 200 m langs med en hovedvej, hvorefter der går ind cykelsti vinkelret ind på modsatte side af hovedvejen. Alt imens jeg venter på sidste mand, blæser fortroppen langt forbi den lille sti, og det er umuligt at råbe …

... Majorca coast, stopping off for a swim in the sea and arriving at Camp de Mar. A couple of hours on the beach and in the sea and we headed back to the boat for a delicious lunch of paella, salad, and ensaimadas (local cake type thing) - and lots of sangria and cava! The journey back meant sailing into the waves which meant for a very bumpy ride - all of which was very fun rather than scary or stomach churning. There was quite a lot of spray to keep us cool as well... Admittedly ...

... I'm used to my full 8 hours at least!). There were no definite plans with the others so hopefully I won't have burnt any bridges and will be able to party with them next time instead. Right. Must sleep, as have to pack in the morning and head off to hotel #2 before the boat trip at 0900! So looking forward to a proper Sunday lie in! Also very much looking forward to the arrival of Kamal tomorrow - ...

As expected, still over tired today! Class was good though and afterwards a few of us went to grab lunch at a local market. There were lots of different food stands (think Borough Market al Palma) and we sat at one with a few different tapas (obviously!). This afternoon we went to the Es Baluard art gallery which was interesting. A few pieces of local Mallorquin art including a small Joan Miro exhibition. A quick mojito with Monica, Trisha ...

... who have all been here a while. They seem to have their own group but some were more sociable than others! Most of them go home this week though so no real allies to gain.
